Waterford Estate Sauvignon Blanc
Waterford Estate is the home of some of the best Estate wines South Africa has to offer, which are true to the footprint of their origin.
The Sauvignon Blanc vineyard was planted in 1988 on the cooler, highest altitude slopes found on Waterford Estate as well as the proximity to the ocean also creates a cooling effect during the warmer summer months. The wine is built around mouthfeel and texture, mostly coming from the rich clay soils in which the grapes are grown. The longevity of this wine is very surprising, only showing its true potential after sitting in the bottle for at least two years from vintage.
